Recently, the Ethereum ETF market has shown a strong rise, with net inflows for 12 consecutive weeks, highlighting institutional investors' strong interest in Ethereum. This phenomenon peaked in July 2025, setting a historic record.
During these 12 weeks, the Ethereum ETF attracted a total of $3.57 billion in inflows, highlighting the growing confidence of investors in this digital asset. Particularly on July 22, the net inflow amount for a single day reached $534 million, extending the record of consecutive inflows to 13 trading days.
In the 13 days starting from July 2, the cumulative net inflow of Ethereum ETFs surged from $4.25 billion to $8.32 billion, indicating a rapid increase in investment enthusiasm. The total net assets currently locked in these ETF products have reached $19.85 billion, accounting for 4.44% of Ethereum's total market capitalization, reflecting the growing recognition of institutional investors towards Ethereum as a long-term investment asset.
Behind this wave of investment enthusiasm, there are several key factors worth paying attention to. First, the recent completion of the Pectra upgrade on the Ethereum network has boosted investor confidence. This upgrade introduced the EIP-7702 transaction, enhancing the overall functionality and user experience of the network. Secondly, the outstanding performance of Ethereum's price during this period has also attracted a large inflow of funds. While there has been a continuous net inflow into ETFs, the price of Ether rose by more than 20% in just 7 days.
However, it is worth noting that this trend of sustained capital inflow may not last forever. On August 1, after accumulating $5.5 billion, the U.S. spot Ethereum ETF experienced a net outflow of $152 million, marking a temporary end to this round of enthusiasm.
This series of data and phenomena reflects institutional investors' long-term optimism towards the Ethereum ecosystem, while also showcasing the high volatility of the cryptocurrency market. For investors, while paying attention to short-term market trends, they should also focus on the long-term development prospects and fundamental changes of Ethereum.
