GameStop CEO: In the future, it may be possible to purchase trading cards and collectibles with Crypto Assets.

On Tuesday, GameStop CEO Ryan Cohen stated in an interview with CNBC's "Squawk Box" that due to rising costs, the company is adjusting its strategy to reduce reliance on hardware and instead focus on trading cards and collectibles, which may be available for purchase with Crypto Assets in the future. He mentioned there is an opportunity to buy trading cards with Crypto Assets and will follow the actual demand situation. He believes: "Crypto Assets are not only for investment but also a Hedging tool against inflation, which is currently their biggest demand. The actual use of Crypto Assets in transactions is an opportunity and also a focus for the company." Cohen also said that while there are opportunities to use Crypto Assets in this field, GameStop has not yet selected specific Tokens and will examine all Crypto Assets.
