Roger Ver sues Spain to prevent extradition to the United States.

Gate news bot message, Bitcoin investor Roger Ver has filed a lawsuit in Spain to prevent his extradition to the United States, where he faces tax evasion charges. The lawsuit has been submitted to the European Court of Human Rights, arguing that the extradition violates Ver's human rights. He is accused of owing $48 million and was arrested in Spain in April 2024, but was released on bail in May.

Ver's lawyer has submitted a motion to dismiss the tax charges, claiming that the U.S. exit tax is "unconstitutional." Silk Road founder Ross Ulbricht has called on the U.S. government to drop the case. Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has also suggested that these charges are politically motivated.
